This sculpture celebrates St. Francis of Assisi, who was known for his love for all creatures and nature. He’s depicted here before a gothic arbor of trees in the company of his animal friends. He loved the larks that soared through the air around his hilltop town, and was inspired to write a Canticle of the Creatures, an ode to God’s living things: “All praise to you, Oh Lord, for all these brother and sister creatures.” He was constantly surrounded by wildlife and brought peace between animals and the hand of mankind. This saint sculpture would make a beautiful housewarming present, or thoughtful gift for any gardener or animal lover. It is free-standing, and can also hang on a wall. Made in the USA.
