I purchased a new pix because I was having problems opening my original one due to arthritis in my thumbs. The new one is very easy to open while also very secure when closed. The rich coloring along with the protective epoxy give it an impressive presence. It also has a good sized loop at the top that allows you to wear it on a chain or lanyard making it very easy to receive a consecrated host, quickly secure it, and receive communion yourself with little interruption for the priest. I am proud to carry my Lord home to my husband in our new pix.
