It was Christmastime in 1223...Francis of Assisi wanted to
depict the hardships endured by Joseph, Mary, and the Infant Jesus. He
bought torches, animals, & hay to a nearby cave and a Christmas message was
delivered to people. Over time, people submitted "live" enactment's with
carved figures and "cribmaking." In this tradition, it is only fitting that
St. Francis find a place in all nativity's! Boxed with story card.
