EVERY BRACELET IS HANDMADE HERE IN THE USA!
Each bracelet comes with a tag that is signed and blessed by its maker and comes with a beautiful card that explains the order of its beads.
The 29:11 story jewelry was created by Salley Walker, following her struggle with God after the death of her son. William was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 12. His five-year battle was brutal but William was never alone; he knew God intimately. He believed he was going “home “ to God when he died at age 17. William had a powerful story to tell. His mother has a powerful story as well.
The 29:11 Stories tell the story of God’s plan for us, to give us all a hope and a future and to prosper us. Simply put, God‘s perfect story is that God- the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit- does exist, that we are His creation, and we have fallen from grace but been redeemed by Christ.
It is the New Testament's answer to Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you,..." this bracelet is exquisitely beautiful; it opens up the gospel, the Good News, the Word, for us here on this broken earth. It is on memory wire and made-up with lovely gemstones and glass beads.
This inspirational bracelet comes in two sizes: small /medium or large/extra large. The large/extra large comes with a silver chain and clasp. It will bear the signed tag and blessing of its maker, a colorful key card to the Story, all in a beautiful organza bag.
THE PURCHASE OF THIS BRACLET BENEFITS OTHERS:
The 29:11 Story Ministry has three distinct missions. First, we desire to bring together God’s children, mostly women, of all socioeconomic backgrounds into our fellowship. In our 29:11 house, we gather to learn about God‘s plan for our futures. We make beautiful 29:11 Stories as we share our own individual stories. Our house is full of laughter and often tears. We are also learning how to run a business. We are learning how to make something of value, market, sell, and decide what to do with the profits of our labors. Much of our profits go back to our women, as we buy back their “Stories“ that they create.
Our second mission is to spread God‘s Word and His perfect plan as we sell our 29:11 Story collection. We believe that every 29:11 Story that we sell establishes a spiritual connection between us, God, and whoever buys our creations. Our 29:11 Stories are reaching out beyond our little cottage in Huntsville. We are constantly affirmed by the powerful message our beautiful Stories tell.
Our third mission is one that touches us deeply. For over 20 years, Second Mile Development has served the neighborhood with a Christian preschool. These precious children are God’s future and his delight. They desire a chance to prosper. They deserve to have lives full of hope and to have powerful stories to tell. Every bit of The 29:11 Story Ministries profits that are left goes to the Second Mile Preschool. And we are in the process of building a new home for this preschool.
The 29:11 Story ministry creates beautiful, hand-crafted jewelry that provides spiritual and financial support to women and their families.
The ministry has three distinct missions: 1) Bring together women from diverse backgrounds into our fellowship as we learn to run a business; 2) spread God‘s Word and His perfect plan; and 3) prosper God’s children at The Second Mile Preschool.
Our goal is to empower economically disadvantaged women, give them a voice and help them support their families. We do this by providing a safe space for them to fellowship, share and create while earning an income, and the profit from the jewelry sales goes to support the preschool scholarship program.
More About Second Mile Development.
Over 30 years ago, Bill McDowell had a heart and a passion for God. He began his life‘s work with inner-city high school boys. Realizing the destruction of generational poverty, he and his wife Mary, with their church’s backing, bought a small house in Huntsville‘s most under-resourced neighborhood and began their work as the nonprofit, Second Mile Development. The ultimate dream of Second Mile is to bring about, through Christ, reconciliation between all people: the rich and poor, the educated and uneducated, the fortunate and less fortunate. They serve the community with a Christian preschool, a neighborhood thrift shop, a parent's initiative, and a baby store. The people in this community make these bracelets by hand and benefit from the sale of each bracelet to support their families.
