The 5539-A Monstrance is hand made by talented silversmiths from Artistic Silver by Molina of Madrid Spain. The removable, glass enclosed luna is finished in 24 karat gold plate to expose with dignity the Host for the Adoration. Luna holds a large 5-3/4 inch host.
This monstrance is 18-1/2” tall by 11-1/4” wide.
A monstrance with a host luna is used in the Roman Catholic Church to display and venerate the consecrated Eucharistic host, which is believed to be the body of Jesus Christ. The Molina family of Artistic Silver has produced some of the most beautiful ecclesiastical metal pieces in its studio in Madrid Spain since 1939.
