Lady Undoer of Knots Collectors Edition
Devotion to Mary under the beautiful title "Undoer of Knots" dates back to the 1700's. An artist in Germany painted an image of Mary holding a long ribbon and untying the knots in it. The meaning behind the image dates back to the writings of St. Irenaeus in the second century. He wrote "the knot of Eve's disobedience was untied by the obedience of Mary; what Eve bound by her unbelief, the Virgin Mary loosened by her faith." Mary is the perfect model of faith for her children. Her faith helps to untie the knots of sin that we are all burdened by! When Pope Francis was the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Argentina, he visited Germany & discovered the painting of Our Lady, Undoer of Knots.
